Venue, Accommodation and Directions
Hebden Hey is a scout camp of two hostels situated in the beautifully wooded hillside overlooking the picturesque National Trust Estate of Hardcastle Crags.
There is a fire pit that we can use (weather permitting).
Camping and camper vans are not permitted on site.

Food
We're sorry but we can't provide self-catering facilities on site. Kate and Don's cafe will be available to provide delicious meals throughout the weekend. Hebden Bridge town centre, which is stuffed full of cafes and shops, is only a mile and a half away.
Access and Directions
By Train:
The nearest station is 2 miles away in Hebden Bridge, on the route from Leeds to Manchester Victoria. Click here for timetable information.
By Car:
From M62 East: J24 (Halifax, Mytholmroyd, Hebden Bridge).
Approaching from Halifax:
1. Follow the signs for A646 towards Burnley into Hebden Bridge.
2. Pass straight through Hebden Bridge town centre, and keep going until you get to a turning circle on your left, signposted for Heptonstall.
3. Turn into the turning circle, and then double-back towards Hebden Bridge.
4. Bear left at the first lights. Climb the (steep) hill and follow the road to the right over the hump-back brow, NOT left to Heptonstall.
After leaving the 30mph, take the SECOND un-metalled private road on the RIGHT. Follow this road to the end. (approx. 1 mile)
From the M62 West: J21 (Littleborough, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge).
Approaching from Todmorden:
1.Turn right at Todmorden central roundabout, 2nd exit, to Hebden Bridge.
2. When coming into Hebden Bridge, go up the hill, bear left at the first set of traffic lights (signposted Heptonstall, Slack).
3. Climb the (steep) hill and follow the road to the right over the hump-back brow, NOT left to Heptonstall.
After leaving the 30mph, take the SECOND un-metalled private road on the RIGHT. Follow this road to the end. (approx. 1 mile)
Access to the centre is along 1 mile of private tarmaced road. The road has only been tarmaced after the first 800m, so we ask you to drive slowly; for your own sakes, as well as to avoid erosion to the road base.
Parking:
There is fairly limited parking on site so please share transport wherever possible. Disabled drivers please discuss your requirements with the organisers.
Accommodation:
There are two hostels with heated rooms for workshops and dormitory accommodation. Please bring all your own bedding - pillow, sleeping bag and extra blankets if needed. The dormitories will be single sex wherever possible. The buildings are both non-smoking environments.
