Welcome to Rhythm and Grooves
the #1 weekend for West African drumming heads up North!

Photos from this year's fantastic event COMING SOON!
To start with, this year's mini-R&G is featuring two full-day workshops. These are:
- Rhythms from Ghana, led by Ben Lawrence, featuring Ghanaian drums, percussion and balafons. This went down a storm at last year's festival, so book early if you want a place on this.
- Guinean Rhythms, led by Iya Sako, featuring djembes and dunduns. This will be a really good class, so again, get in early!
So you can choose one or other of these classes. They will run from 10am-5pm (including tea breaks and a lunch break).
A delicious two-course home-made lunch will be provided by the fabulous Kate & Don's Cafe, which again featured heavily at last year's residential.
And then to top it all off, there's a full-on event in the evening at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge, with preformances by the fantastic Kajamor Family, and also Tanante (who need no introduction here). And as if that wasn't enough, the most amazing DJ Annie from the brilliant Trailer Trash, will be providing ample sounds and beats to dance the entire night away.
The price for this incredible event is a mere £35 including lunch but not the event, or £40 for the workshop, lunch and a ticket to the evening event all included. You can't quibble with that, can you!
